Who would have thought? Late yesterday & thru the night, we started with snow, then turned to pouring rain.

So today, after a cloudy beginning this morning, we were pleasantly surprised that in our neck of the woods, Western MA, turned out to be wonderfully sunny & low 60s.  Needless to say, had to take advantage & open the windows & sliders.  My 2 Little Girl Kitties were very happy to bird & squirrel watch  Cat Very Happy

Well, after awhile of that, my Ginger began her "usual HAPPY SPRING pacing" & hence her longing to go outside with her harness on so she can munch the grass.  Try telling your kittie the grass isn't green enough yet .. well, that means nothing to her, so ....... much more pacing continued.  I know her personality well & that means this pacing will continue until I take her out .... pleaseeeee grass, hurry & get green!

So, how was everyone elses' spring day?

Pretty day in VA!

I found a blueberry plant for $10 at the grocery store and planted it (two of three I'd planted last year survived).  The nicest months of the year are upon us, and I'm very glad.

I had windows open, too.

It was a beautiful day in SW Michigan today! Not nice enough to uncover my good deck furniture yet (we've got snow forecasted for the end of the week), but I hauled out a bag chair and spent the afternoon outside with a great book, a cold beverage and some sunshine.

I’m glad it’s better weather for you! I’m glad your cats  🐈🐈have leashes, I walked a Siamese on one, he did well on it.

Last week we had frost several days in VA. Then rain and drizzle.

That means putting raincoats on the dogs 🐶🐶and pulling them out for walks. Then drying paws.

I have a dog door so cut the grass in the fence. Today it was in the 60’s so they enjoyed walks without coats and the dog pen. Tomorrow is to be 70 so dog bath day,

The Dogwoods and Redbud have started blooming in the last two days, 🌼 daffodils are out and a few  blooms on the 🌺 Azaleas.

I took deep breaths on our last walk to smell the flowering shrubs.

My older dog was sniffing pollen and sneezing & coughing. I will be tonight. (🤧The good & bad side of Spring,)

It's trying here in the midwest, but no spring yet.  It rained today and was a bit cool.  Snow on the forecast for Weds into Thurs.  Hoping it will pass on by.  It's too early for steady 50-60 temps.  They don't typically come until sometime in May.

I've got bad news for those enjoying the first signs of spring.  Our meteorologist last night reported the there's a large, strong storm off the coast of Japan moving East.  He said it could produce a winter storm here, even in the lower altitudes next week-end.  This after a predicted high Wednesday of 84° in Albuquerque.  If this storm comes to pass, it will affect areas East of us.  Our average last freeze is April 6th. so this would be extremely unusual.

It is so nice to hear all the comments of good weather.  Today is going to be nice here but tomorrow we are getting a winter storm with 15 cm of snow.  No outdoor furniture yet.

My piece of good news is the lake is ice free.  That was my birthday present😃!  LM

@Sweetbay magnolia

Happy planting!  Looks like you'll be eating lots of delicious nutrition - love on cereal or desserts.

Today may be another "open" window day ..

@FrostyBabe1

Now, that's a very nice way to spend your afternoon.  Our deck furniture & glider all need cleaning off too before I even attempt to enjoy the space.

Maybe your snow prediction will fail?  Never know what Mother Nature has in store for us.  Depends on her mood  Smiley Wink

@1Snickers

Well, you've had the mix of good & bad walking weather.  But, you have it all covered with their rain jackets (bet they look adorable!)  It's so nice to enjoy all of the upcoming blooming (for those without allergies).  Hope you have another enjoyable walking day today.

I hope your allergies weren't too bad last night.

Funny!  We have a large 80 lb. black lab, so his running in the back yard is mostly dirt/mud now.  Hubby's been letting her back in thru the gate at the top of the driveway & drying her off in the mudroom.  So glad she's not allowed back in thru the sliders .. tracks in the dirt all of the time.
