O/T Question about a steroid injection and sice effects.

I was given a steroid injection a week ago for bronchitis. First time I ever had one. My face became very red and swollen within 24 hours, as a diabetic, my blood sugars are very high even days later. Has anyone experienced this? And, also I am wondering how long a steroid injection stays in one's system normally? Thanks.
