@mrspet

I know how you feel and that's why I no longer have a scale in my house.  But, please don't be discouraged.  First, your initial weight loss was amazing!  NS advertises loose 5, but that's just a come-on.  We all loose weight differently.  And, some bodies fight it more so - must be from our cave man/woman ancestors.  And, certainly don't keep getting on the scale: imho, scales are evil!

Now, if you're gonna become discouraged after your initial weight-loss, then I should just give up - and I'm not.  Though I probably only lost a pound (guessing 'cause waist seems a little smaller in my jeans), I'm enjoying the process.  How often can you have such a selection of meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert - and not even have to plan it, shop for it and cook it.  You just grab something and nuke it and there's no mess to clean up - unless it explodes in the microwave, which admittedly I have already done a few timesWoman Frustrated.

So hang in there!  Your doing great, not only losing weight, but also breaking the 'bad-eating habit'!

This is OT, but I just felt like sharingWoman Very Happy!

The veggie of the day, yes, I only pick one a day, was brussel sprouts.  Well, Eddy LOVES, I mean really LOVES brussel sprouts - cooked al dente in the air fryer is his favorite way!  Any furbaby lovers here know that when cooking something that they consider special, there will be no peace unless you share!  Anyways, Eddy had a few for lunch and a few more for supper, which he inhaled faster than a pupperoni!Woman Surprised

For my snack tonite, I chose the white-cheddar popcorn.  Well, my boy followed me over to the counter, staring intently as I cut open the bag of popcorn.  Upon opening the bag, I got "the look", so I gave him one as I walked back to my rocker (Eddy in tow).  We made a game out of popcorn sharing:  I toss him a kernel, Eddy would catch it.  Before I realized it all the nice kernels were gone; only the crumbs and itty-bitties left for me.  He enjoyed his popcorn so much I had to show him the empty bag!

Now, I'm wondering, since I didn't benefit much from the popcorn, do you think the tossing action can count towards the ten-minute exercise?Woman Embarassed

I followed the Fast 5 first seven days exactly (food and exercise) and lost 4.40 pounds, really thought is would be a little more.  Now on the next part of the plan and other than eating out once in 5 days I followed the suggested plan.  At the restaurant ordered salmon, came with kale and white beans.  Weighed in this morning and gained .80 back.  So feeling a bit disappointed.

If I'm doing the math right, and the days, you're still down 3.6lbs in 12 days. It may not be going as fast as advertised, but as others have said, everyone's body loses differently and you've done amazingly well! You should be proud of your progress. Keep it going @mrspet

Nutrisystem has been great for my dh who has battled weight all of his adult life.  He has gone on and off of it for a few years now as needed.   I think right now it's time for another "on"! Woman Wink

Still liking NS!  Looked and my second shipment is on the way.  Food is really good and getting used to eating a lot of veggies.  Discovered that it's much more manageable using frozen - and discovered many great combinations.

While I don't use a scale, I know it's working - a little at a time - 'cause my EB parka which is "fitted" compared to most parkas is roomier now!  And, most importantly, I'm eating better - feeling better - having more energy - and, breaking bad habits a little at a time!  If I do a rare cheat, I get right back on track.

Think I'll at least get another month's after the one that on its way.  I believe it takes three months to make a new habit, which in my case, is eating well.  But, that runs into Easter and I'm thinking it might be best to get it an additional month - Easter is always a major celebration in my family- a major religious holiday (which also means all kinds of special goodies!).

And, OT, but Eddy my little furbaby now has a thing for oatmeal.  When he saw me eating a NS oatmeal for breakfast, I had to make him a bowl of QO!  Now that I've goe the veggies down to nuking for the most part, I'm now cooking oatmeal every morning.  Can a dog eat oatmeal too often???

Anyways, although everyone here is much better a losing the lbs. than I, I'd certainly like to hear how you're all doing, along with any good suggestions and advice you have to offer.

Thanks, have a good Friday!Woman Very Happy
