Just got my NS the other day.  Began the turbo phase today.  I'm really  glad I got it this time around! Ordered the vegetarian and so far what I've had has been tasty.  Looking through the dinners, think I'm gonna really enjoy it!  I think their food has really improved over the years - seems to get better and better, especially for diet food.

Anyone else who ordered the recent TSV feel as I do?

I tried to do it, I ordered several months from QVC, and the majority of the foods were tomato based and I could not eat them, too much acid!  I personally think the food ordered from Nutrisystem.com looks better, JMHO!

Wow!  I couldn't eat all my supper!!! It was very good:  pasta ******iole and I had spinach with it.  I'm not used to eating that much!  Still haven't had the snack bar yet!!!!!

Eddy, my furbaby, helped me out with the spinach.  He loves plain pan-fried (just used frozen pkg and sauteed 'til water dried, then added garlic/Italian seasoning on mine).  This morning had to cook some macaroni for him - only eats his food now with tiny bit of mac or mashed potatoes and/or veggies.  For supper added spinach to that and he wanted seconds.  Too bad they don't do a NS for furbabies!

I found all the food very tasty so far (day 1). I find they've improved greatly from years ago. And, @Hooty, you're right online you can pick your faves.  I've gotten mostly tomato-based, including two pizzas, with this vegetarian plan.  But, I've always loved the granola cereal, tuna/chicken salad, loaded potatoes and a whole bunch of others that I don't even know if they have anymore.  I did think I'd just be nuking, but find I'm cooking for my dog now!  Priorities!Woman LOL

Have about ten pounds to drop - hopefully in my middle since I carry my weight in my core.  Thank you all for your encouragement!Woman Very Happy

Love your enthusiastic posts @eddyandme!!
My co-worker's MIL uses Nutrisystem, not to lose weight, but because her chronic illness makes shopping & cooking so difficult. She LOVES the variety and finds the meals quite tasty.

Nurtisystem can work.  If you follow the plan, and adhere to ot...you WILL loose weight.  I encourage everyone as they loose weight, to study their mantainance plan. You have to titrate your diet, add foods and wean off slowly.  Give yourself a few months.  Talk to the councellors, the maintainance is critical.  You cant go from 1200 calories to 1600 or 1800 calories right away.  It is a process, and works

As you wean you may gain 2 pounds, but can loose it after.  Do not get discouraged.  The food isnt that bad.  Depends on what you choose.  It isnt as healthy as real food, but it is short term, and beats being overweight!

@LindaSal

Well, I've completed the Fast 5 on Friday.  I found there was an awful lot to eat - wasn't used to eating 2 cups of plain veggies a day.  I did cheat one day - had a wicked salt craving so had some saltine crackers.  Also counted coffee/tea towards towards the eight glasses of water.  I'm a fussy eater and even enjoyed a few dishes.  I did not like the Curb bars - sandy feeling in mouth - but getting used to. Overall the food was good to very good - now I'm talking diet food with no butter, sauces, etc.  Must admit have some Turbo Shakes leftover - just 'cause I wasn't hungry.  But will incorporated them into my regular program - three recipes sound yummy and the shakes weren't bad alone.

Failed on the thirty minutes daily of exercise, unless you count snow-shoveling and housework.

But, overall it seems to be working!  Cannot say how much weight I lost, but feel much less bloated and believe it's starting to work in my core where I carry all my weight.

I think the best part of this experience so far is that it's making me get back to proper eating.  Can you believe I am now looking forward to veggies?  Saw an ad and the town market now has frozen - spiral - veggies that I can't wait to pick up!  My problem now with the veggies is that Eddy is demanding veggies at every meal now!  This morning I grated fresh cheddar over his kibble and laid it down on his dinner diner. He just sat there giving me "the look".  So I nuked some mac and leftover broccoli for him.  Then he devoured his breakfast!  Think we've become a veggie family.Woman LOL

Hope this is helpful to you, @LindaSal.  I do believe your daughter will enjoy this meal plan - rice, pasta, beans, "pizza" (that's a stretch), but what's not to enjoy!  And, if she likes chocolate that's covered too.  If she has any questions or you want an update after my next three weeks, beginning tomorrow, let me know.

re the Bars

People in WW used to warm the WW bars in the microwave for a few seconds.  Try warming them up a bit and see if it makes the texture better.
