I think the big question would be what ongoing medical expenses will she now incur going forward? If the hospital was negligent in how they handled Duncan's care then yes, someone needs to ensure this young lady's healthcare will be covered for any and all lingering effects directly related to having ebola for the rest of her life.
I absolutely agree with this.

I didn't see this anywhere, but are she and the other nurse still working at the same facility?

Re Nina Pham:
Pham is still employed and is getting a paycheck from Texas Health Resources, but has not returned to work, CNN affiliate KTVT said.

If she's filing a lawsuit, she has to say she has ongoing issues. However, she's 100% right. The hospital she worked for was woefully unprepared to treat an Ebola patient or any other patient with a communicable disease. I remember reading that suit she wore (or maybe it was the other nurse) didn't fit properly and she was told to wrap tape around the neck to keep it closed. Unbelievable!

I agree that the hospital was DEFINITELY negligent. They had the tools and the responsibility already in place to educate their employees on this issue. They chose not to do so. The liability is theirs.
I hope they have since done their duty. I'll keep the rest of my opinion to myself.

sounds like she has a case. like many said at the time, we were not ready no matter what the PTB said.

Didn't she have the option to not do something, if she felt uncomfortable? If they fired her...THEN she would have the lawsuit. But I can't imagine what she's suing them for that's not covered by Workers Compensation. I don't think she has a leg to stand on....If anything, it'll be settled out of court to eliminate bad press..not to say the hospital was guilty, but settled to make it go away.

I wonder if Kent Brantley has the same illnesses caused by the disease?
Kent Brantley vs Nina Pham...epitomizes ""Half Full"" vs ""Half Empty"".
