The Dr could've sued his employer, Samaritian's Purse, for the poor working conditions...but he didn't. Plus Nina Pham could've been an amazing ambassador for fighting Ebola like Dr. Kent Brantly...but she didn't.
Many people use diversity in their life to carve out their life's purpose. Much like the lady here in Dallas, diagnosed w/ ovarian cancer...she started a foundation & continued to raise millions for the cure of ovarian cancer until her death last summer.
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Dr. Kent Brantly did this, my friend Helen Gardner did this....too bad Ms. Pham doesn't see this beautiful opportunity.
Dr. Brantley volunteered to serve Ebola patients in Africa.
The nurse just wanted a safe workplace...in Texas.
The hospital already apologized for their poor handling of the situation, their misdiagnosis, their cover up after the fact. They settled with the patient's family.
If she has issues...she has the perfect right to sue. The courts will decide if her lawsuit was valid.

Dr. Kent Brantly was an employee of Samaritian's Purse. Of course she has the right to sue. That's not the discussion. They will settle out of court & it will be a done deal.

He was a missionary in Africa...not a nurse at a hospital in the United States.
Big difference, IMO.

This smacks of profiteering, IMO. If I learned a lot about it, maybe I would reconsider. Duncan lied when he first went to the medical center, conveniently leaving out that he did have exposure to someone with Ebola.

The hospital admitted that they didn't handle his case properly and settled right away with the family. Yes, the HOSPITAL was wrong, not the patient.
They admitted it and they paid up.
