Some have said it isn’t fair to the student to be expelled for what the parents did, especially if they didn’t know....but maybe if the parents knew their child would suffer the comsequences if the bribery was exposed, they would think twice about doing this.

For our major State University, only about 10 to 12 percent of its budget comes from State appropriations.

I always figured after all the athletic scandals in the past it had to go further.  Its no surprise to me that people paid money to get their children into college.  Big colleges in general just scream corruption.  Just think about the amount of money that people give to universities so their name can be on a building or a piece of artwork there.  With college tuition constantly increasing, that money would be better spent helping students afford college without excessive student loan debt.

This has been going on for decades and will never go away as long as parents have money and colleges are willing to accept it...money has always talked.

This is no school worth paying 6.5 million to get your child admitted ....or how awful is your kid that you have to pay that much just to get a school to take them?
