Suddenly, after all this time, I had to re-register in order to post. I added a "2" to my nickname (because "insomniac" was already taken). In addition, I had to use a different email address (because the one I listed was already being used by someone else--yes, by me!).

So I'm at square one again: "new member."

could a mod perhaps get you some help to regain your nick, etc? Just a suggestion, but it might not hurt to ask.

If I ever come here to post and see I am not in the system, I am going to take that as a hint that I don't need to be here any longer. There is no excuse for a monitored forum to mess up like that.

This happened to me...used to be dex.I don't mind starting over and haven't had any problems associated to it.I think people eventually figure out who you are if you want them to.

It's weird because I signed in with my original email address (that I've been using for 25 years). I do have a gmail account I rarely use, and that's what I used when I had to re-register.

I don't care too much about the posts number, but I'm slightly irritated from being a "respected contributor" to being a "new member" again.

I originally posted a few days ago that I lost my sunala name when I tried to sign on, so I finally changed my name to SunnyNY. It was okay but it annoyed me that I lost my original name, so I tried again, and sure enough, I got my original sunala back!

@insomniac reboot your computer and try again with a different browser. I always use Chrome, but when I tried again, I used my Firefox, and it went through.
