Can you tell a difference?

Maybe that's why people don't position their posts correctly when they're quoting somebody?

Another thing to take into account is that there are numerous people here who are ill or disabled.

Things like pain and medications can have an impact and so can a really difficult day.

I make typing and grammatical errors all the time with and without illness. I appreciate when someone politely brings it to my attention because it will help me to do better, long time since I was in a classroom; refresher course always appreciated.

Isn't it funny when we judge others we often get s taste of it ourselves? I've gotten schooled by my own experiences and it's humbling and eye-opening and helpful.

It isn't about just proofreading!

Trying to go back and change the errors and not being able to stop the darn auto correct, not getting the cursor in the right spot, people 'pinging in' on the facebook messenger my kid set up on my phone (and will be made to get back out of there!!). It all adds up to either scrapping the post entirely out of frustration, or posting a hot mess sometimes (for me anyway).

All I'm saying is that now I get how some of the posts I read here  just might be formed, and I have a little more understanding about it.

I've kind of 'walked a mile in their shoes' with this one, and now I see!

And I have to say, I don't like that mile walk or those shoes!!

I never, ever have autocorrect turned on either on my iPad or phone. I've never needed it. I can spell and I can proofread. And I care whether what I post is intelligible. I'm not saying that you can't/don't, but there definitely are people on these forums who can't and don't and defiantly brag about how much they don't care. I "get" them, too.

And yes auto correct is a problem too.......it can change some words to reflect some really strange things (and Im guilty of posting before hitting post before proof-reading---please forgive-- )  And if I turn auto correct off, then the problem is with typos...........

See, I just learned (or half learned) something new. I didn't know auto correct could be turned off (or how the heck to do it!).
