November Back Fence with Pumpkins and Turkeys Galore

So here we are - November already. Very chilly in Sou Cal but yesterday was really cold - in the morning that is. So foggy you could barely see to the end of my driveway. Today and by tomorrow the daylight hours are suppose to be super warm - again. Such weird weather but this is Sou Cal and weird weather is the norm based on many places elsewhere. Do hope those of you caught up in Sandy are doing well - those storms are such tragedies - everytime one hits I just cringe. Take care everyone.

Ongoing saga with Tessa and I am hoping something will click for her to settle down. Did get some of the stuff back - it was over at her friend's house. They had it not knowing anything was wrong with it being there. Sigh. Monday she starts staying after school in the Vice Principal's office for an hour to catch up on her work as she is not doing it here. He is a great person, really knows young people (well he is awfully young to be a VP in my opinion but he sure is good) and cares about them. Am hoping this will work and jump start her back to the level she is capable of. For example yesterday she had a German Test and she got 19 out of 20 - so she obviously is quite capable of doing good work - the catch is getting her to do it. Her average in Algebra remains over 110 percent - I couldn't do that if I had my entire lifetime to score that high.

Miss Blackie has her annual excursion to the Vet this morning to get her shots. She will be pretty ticked at me but will recover. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

Have a great day everyone.
