It's all about things other than age, it's perfectly obvious.

That's why no one will say that Justice Scalia should have retired.

How could a smart young lawyer possibly fill a Supreme Court Justice's shoes?
They could not. They would not have the smarts nor even come close to the experience that The Notorious RBG has. 'nuff said.

Quite easily, do you not think there are smart young people in the world? Or do you think that only elderly people can handle high level postions? I
do not discriminate when it comes to age.
Your point is ridiculous.
A smart young lawyer is not a judge.
It's not ageist at all. It is a matter of experience and ability. A smart, young lawyer is lacking in the experience as a judge that would qualify him/her for the position.
Did you forget about this step?

Such hate you carry for those who have different values than you. It fairly flows out of these pages on a daily basis.
What a way to live.

I was thinking about the reports of her falling asleep. When you become impaired enough to not do your best on the job, perhaps time to go.

We have a SC with dissenting opinions. As it should be.
I find it odd that those who disagree with RBG are deemed as haters but those who disagree with opposing justices are deemed the true learned people of the Constitution.
RBG is to be respected for her contributions to the highest court in our land; whether one agrees with her or not is not the issue.
Since the justices debate and concur and dissent is the point; we can all do the same without accusing others of being ignorant, a hater, or any other assorted slams.
I may not like some of the decisions and I may agree with others; it doesn't make me deserving of my picture hanging in the court nor does it make me a "hater".
Debate the issues, not the label.
