@10sluvr, I'm just guessing, but I have a feeling that those who might attach "super hero" to her name do so for for reasons of their own that don't and shouldn't be posted here. Do you agree?

@suzyQ3

Though you didn’t ask me, No I don’t agree.

@Drythe, I'm surprised. I hope that you didn't misinterpret it. With what did you disagree, if I may ask?

Exactly!  I don't know why (well, I do but...) everything has to be a 'us vs them' deal with some folks.  It gets tiresome.

I'm very glad she is doing well and appreciate her for numerous reasons.  Too bad some who, just for certain reasons, just want her to go away.  She has done a lot of good and, while I know some folks are not into stuff like 'good' and 'facts', she is to be appreciated and honored.

Well,

I think she is a SH

*** because she stood up strongly for  Women’s’ rights way before it became fashionable, or people were enlightened, so to speak

*** Because she fought cancer more then once and did not give up. I have heard her speak and she feels no self pity. She is certainly able to retire and take it easy, but has chosen to keep doing the thing that has called to her most strongly in her life.

*** because she has stood firmly behind her Ethics, even when it cost her, in terms of recognition, and positions.  It isn’t easy to do that, or something one always sees.

To the best of my understanding it IS OK to post these reasons here, as they are not political.

Go RBG! I admire her very much. She fought in courts for the rights of men too. Her famous landmark case involved a man who was a caregiver for his mother. That case is depicted in the movie On The Basis Of Sex.

She means much to many. Is a true humanitarian.

If she is comfortable working then I say more power to her.

Re: Notorious RBG is back to work !

She is a remarkable and accomplished person worthy of admiration. My agreement with those who would like to see he retire has nothing to do with her judicial stance on issues, but is based on my personal opinion that she's contributed so much of her life to public service, is quite old, and not physically well. She deserves some time off and, though it might not be popular, the Court deserves a justice who is at least a bit closer to operating at 100%...

Re: Notorious RBG is back to work !

I think if you look at her body of work throughout her career it doesn't matter who appointed her to the Supreme Court. Her life is exemplary. I wish I had even done 1/8 the things that she has done in her lifetime. I wish I were as healthy as she is. She is way older than I am, and for heaven's sake she beat pancreatic cancer, and now in her 80's it appears she beat the lung cancer. She takes the hits and keep on ticking. She's brilliant, energetic, humorous, and dedicated. What's not to admire?

Do any of us know that she is not working at 100%?  Do we know how many of the justices out-work her even at her lowest point?

She's a remarkable tribute to humanity and the ability to overcome adversity and illness and it's really up to her to know when and how to step aside.  If her body and mind still serve her and the nation well, she doesn't need our advice or pity.  I'd say the same to any of the justices on the bench.

Agreed! I wish her well, someplace else.
