So just opening an emails unleashes a virus? I thought you had to click a link in it.

I believe you have to click onto the link in the email.

Our tech told us the newer ones can un leash a virus if we open the message.

Not sure I buy that.

It's in/on your computer, whether you're looking at it or not. Even when you delete it. Putting it in your view...I don't see how that makes a difference.

Hi, esmerelda. Unfortunately, opening an email can infect a computer in some cases, even without clicking on any links.

The messages described in this thread are current and very active for some reason.

Regarding Target, though I haven't shopped there recently they do have my email address on file and I've not seen any increase in spam.
