Never had this happen & I live in a condo community. When I’ve needed help with trash, our staff come to the door & pick it up. They don’t come in

No one has ever touched items I have out on display, family, friends or paid contractors & it never will happen.

The situation is bizarre imo

I don't know anything about a "guilt" thread but I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry you're being the target of insults now.  None of us here know all the details, what transpired, what was said or what you thought was meant.  Too many variables.  10 people can take a comment 10 different ways.  Well, enjoy your evening.  I've got a football game to attend   Dallas vs NY Giants

First of all I am a minimalist and I am trying to figure out what kind of things you have that people are picking up or smelling.  Also this behavior does not sound like entitlement just sounds like bad manners of your guests.

Yes, self entitlement especially with dog owners.  Dogs attack people on planes and everywhere else.  uh......it's like going back to cave man days.   hahaha....

Y'know. 

The more thought I gave it, after some great sleep,  the more I think it might be where, (due to circumstances), I was virtually forced to move, to this area, many years ago. 

I think I continued with my own set of value system, behavior system, expectation system that when I moved to this area, the behavior/value system didnt match the one I was raised with, or continued to have before moving here. 

And here when I thought the difference in  exhibited value, behavior system didnt match, I thought it was an anomaly, vs "par for the course" for this area.

Ppl born & bred here seem to have figured others out who also are here, & expected others here accordingly.

I'm not sure about what Im going to do with this new revelation now.  And what I can do that is even possible for me, esp at this age, station in life, & given my level of infirmity.

Just thinking out loud...

I cant remember the last time i heard a "THANK YOU," or "PLEASE" either from *any* Adult or Child.  And I'm a prolific, grateful giver.  There's been plenty of opportunities for them,  but Nah Duh.  I never added this all up together.
