I'm a little annoyed because I just got home from the "closest" mall which is 1 hour away w/JCP.
Before I left I printed out my online bag with prices & panels I wanted. Called JCP prior to going there to confirm 1) they had them (2 different styles) and prices.
Well, get to the store & yes they have the items BUT they aren't "sale priced" as online NOR if you use JCP card do you get extra 30%😖.
One set (2) panels IN STORE with tax & $10 off 25 coupon came to $109.79.
Yet, online $67.18 inc. tax, 30% and free s/h.
The other set with tax was $75.67 IN STORE yet ONLINE my total was 48.98 inc. tax, 30% and free s/h.
I asked the supervisor to "honor" the online pricing -- no. Needless to say, I went over to kiosk and ordered items online (delivery 1/25). Apparently, JCP online is different then the store...ugh! And really the store for a Sunday was not busy!
The savings was too good not to wait for home delivery im just annoyed I drove all the way there because I'm finishing my room and wanted to hang them this week!
No wonder the stores are "empty" it's better to order online!

@homedecor1 Wow. That's what I call a real pain. I find myself shopping almost exclusively on line. Not necessarily for the reason you mentioned, but our biggest stores are 30-40 minutes away. I can shop so much easier and look for what I want while in the comfort of my home. I'm sorry you had to go through that hassle, but I do hope you enjoy your "new" room once you receive your drapes.

Yes, they are two different entities, the same with Walmart.
I'm happy you made out so well with your purchases.

Here I thought I'd get some exercise and get it today!
After 6+ months my room is finally coming together!

I've had that happen at JCP, BB&B and I believe another store ... Lowes or Home Depot. I just return the item to the store and reorder online. Yes, it is a royal pain, but the stores don't carry as much stock and use that as their reason.
I do remember that the JCP sales clerk did reorder it for me from their store. She was trying to be helpful.

@homedecor1 Your experience is why malls will eventually completely go out of business or be very much reduced in size. I'd be mad too.

OP: The good news is that you saw what you are going to order, see it, feel it and make sure it's what you really want, I would think that time and trip is worth it all vs. ordering and then finding out it's not what you want and you need to pack everything up and start all over again.
I like to see it, sometimes the coloring is a lot different that what's online, you can't feel the fabric either when you order online and to me, it's well worth the return.

I found out when I worked at Chicos, that the online store is totally different too. We couldn't honor on line prices or coupons.
