On black Friday I ordered an air fryer from the Q's website for my BIL. It came yesterday, directly from the manufacturer. It was only in the actual air fryer box with all the writing on it.....no outer box.......easy for anyone to see what's inside. Not only that, all it has is a label on the outside with my name and address on it......no packing slip. The box is still has the original manufacturer's tape on it, so I know it hasn't been opened. I've never received anything like this from the Q before.

@2blonde. Small appliances, as well as hundreds of other items, are generally shipped as you describe. To do otherwise would create an excess of cardboard in our enviroment. This is often mentioned in the description. These items are generally vendor shipped.
If you'll remove the shipping label and peel apart the layers, you'll find an invoice and return label.

I ordered a printer recently. I had to watch for UPS until the package finally arrived because I didn't want a "porch pirate" to get it first. Good thing I did. No outer carton. The box clearly had complete details of what was inside, including pictures. (It did not come from QVC. Oh, and UPS arrived at 10PM that particular delivery.)

yes, ordered an electric toothbrush for my daughter for christmas and that is exactly how it came. in manufacturers packaging. i have had other items delivered like that also, including bose products, dyson products. i think quite a few of these items are shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Many times, if not all the time, items that are going to be shipped like that have a warning so to speak on the product page that states if it's a gift, the item is going to be shipped in a box that has the item picture and/or description.

Today I got a Lasko Ceramic Heater from Costco in it's original box via UPS. It was beat-up, but the heater is working fine.
Home Depot has shipped my Toro leaf blower/vacuum in it's original box.
Neither of these were gifts, so I am fine with this. My neighbors ask me quite often to be on the look out for their deliveries. It's nice to know that they would do the same for me. Perhaps next time, a neighbor could help you?

I received my Bose radio in the actual manufacturer's box with the name Bose on it. However, Brett Hamilton, the tech vendor, did mention on the air that that is how you would receive it. I thought that was nice of him to relay that important information to prospective customers so they would know that's how it would be received. Definitely don't want to tempt any porch pirates since that name on the outside of the box would be a dead-giveaway to its contents. I was able to have someone home to get the package when I was at work.

I've never heard of porch pirates anywhere in my town (but I have heard of mail boxes being robbed). When we first bought our house DH and a friend built a gate on our front porch (which we keep locked unless we are expecting company. This is a good solution for possible theft and also (the many) solicitors who used to bug us.

And after Christmas we will see empty boxes at the street...tvs, computers, video games, etc. and all robbers have to do is ride around and write down the addresses....our PD posted today to break down boxes and put in very dark plastic trash bags...its a shame its this way but its the world we live in today
