So usually I shop by computer or App and it's so frustrating when I see something I want and I go to all the trouble of signing in and putting it in my cart. Go to process the order and it's sold out. Can't QVC tell you upfront, beforehand that it's sold out? Both HSN and EVINE tell you up front on the product display when something is sold out.
Is it my settings maybe? I've never heard anyone mention this before.

HSN also tells you if something in your cart is about to sell out.

I've noticed that some sold out items are faded-out and marked 'Sold out' , but not all sold out are marked this way. What's the difference...I don't know!

I've never run into that problem on QVC. If I put something in my cart, I can usually continue to browse for up to an hour before it's released to someone else.
I have had that problem with HSN! I put something in my cart, immediately go to checkout, only to have it say something like "You have great taste! This item has sold out." Well, it wasn't "sold out", when I put it in my cart.
I know from experience, that HSN says you don't have the item until you checkout, so I never linger with their website. But, as I've said, I've never had that happen with QVC.
So, is this something new?

My problem is that QVC doesn't show the item sold out until check out. QVC should show the item sold out on the item information. Not at checkout.

I would like to request that Q inform us when the item we tried to order but was sold out is back in stock. HSN does or did this and I appreciated the heads up.
