Not impressed with Seth McFarlane's Oscar hosting

I realize he's popular with the younger crowd, but I thought his high school type humor wasn't what one would expect for the Oscars. I didn't find him to be particularly offensive, but that bit at the beginning with Captain Kirk was silly and boring, and much too long. It's not an easy job to host the Oscars, I'm sure, but thought he was out of his element. Heard he was brought in to cater to the youthful audience.


And did anyone else notice that he bears an uncanny resemblance to Peter Brady. That's the first thing I noticed.
