On a positive note, I posted on another thread that I was watching GMA this morning and they said 80,000 people have recovered. Two patients that are in the hospital with the virus have been given a trial shot and they are recovering nicely. So there is hope this will be controlled sooner than later.
This is a very unusual situation. But this is America! She has been beaten on, bloodied before and yet she rises. She will continue to do so. We shall rise from this. With all the news focused on the scary facts....let's take a moment to know there are acts of kindness and compassion happening too. Where there is breath, there is hope...always.
We've always been told free speech stops when yelling fire in a crowded theatre.
How is this different?
It would be one thing to report how this lack of equipment/doctors has actually caused death/lack of care, but to create hysteria and panic by telling people - oh oh oh there won't be enough - that is just wrong.

I have said it for several weeks. A small number of posters are intent on deliberately stirring up panic, fear and anxieties. For their own amusement, in my opinion.
My oh my, hospitals do not have enough, nurses and doctors do not have supplies in amounts ,they need.
Yes, our Governor Cuomo is on television right now saying exactly the same thing. I think it is being said for awareness because there are so many who are not taking any of this seriously. We still have people right here on this forum who are sharing that they plan on doing everything exactly the same. Maybe some of this rhetoric will wake them up that this is a serious situation.
I know it helps to put all in better perspective when I read articles like this morning from a Doctor on how to tell when it the virus or your "seasonal allergies"? I think some of us remember the movies we watched in the. Outbreak for one is now playing again.
