Thanks so much for your work in the ProBoards!

I have no doubt that had a big impact in QVC's decision.  Who knew QVC posters were so good at organizing????

But there was also a multiplier effect.  I did not have the chance to join ProBoards yet, but this had an impact in my posting on the QVC Boards and my QVC shopping.  I guess there are many others who had the same reaction.

And yes, you may want to change the name from "q Forum Friends" to something else.  Maybe Shopping forum friends?  The "q" was a problem for me.  Wouldn't want an association like that.  If ProBoards got hit with a subpoena, you wouldn't know it, because they can be secret.  Please tag me in any post with a name change.

@spiderw  - the message I first saw when I signed on to the forums a few minutes ago is: "WE HEARD YOU! We understand how much you value this space as a place to make meaningful connections and share what's on your mind. ...we're keeping our Blogs & Forums live...."

This wasn't the whole post from QVC but it's the important part. Thank you to the posters who contacted QVC and complained about them closing the forums - they heard you and they listened.

The name of the new place is "q forum friends." We all know what the capital letter Q stands for and about their organization and we do not want to be associated with them.

That not what we are about.  Are you aware of what the abbreviation q...lower case letter stands for?

It means each and every.  Our forum allows each and every person without bias.  It is all inclusive and will remain that way.  Every person is respected.

No one owns the letter q...lower case.  It is an accepted abbreviation for quaqe (  latin...I studied 4 years of latin and worked in the medical insurance field) and is used by many medical people every day. You might see it written on your prescription doctor instructions.

We will give your suggestion consideration.  Hope to see you soon.

 I personally do not trust QVC to do right by us. The only reason why they are supposedly reconsidering is because they got scared when 900 people signed on to Proboards . A lot of people also threatened to pull their business.

  I believe they are trying to buy time for two reasons. One is to contemplate their next move & the other is to sabotage our accomplishments over at Proboards.

IMO, a third reason is that they don't want to lose a ton of holiday season sales.    Holiday season sales are what keep a lot of retailers in business.

@NicksmomESQ ....I plan to register at Proboards next week.  Just got alot to do in the next few days.  From what I've seen, Melly, you and the other moderators have done a SUPERB job. THANK YOU.

I may or may not continue to post here at the Q.  I will heed and remember your thoughts about what has happened.  But meanwhile, thanks for what you and the others ones did to make sure all these lovely posters had another home.

I wonder if the Q realized.... that you just can't mess with "Momma and Papa Bears" OR their money.

I said this is another thread and am saying it again: I don't care whether this forum is kept open; I'm not about to buy anything to thank them. No way, no how. It's the way they treated us that really ticks me off.

@Winkk .....I will probably do both also, but I don't post that much.  But, I'm glad the ladies at the proboards took the time to make sure that their fellow posters were taken care of.  I predict that the proboards will continue and have more members than over here.  God Bless Those Ladies.  Awesome, Awesome, women.

I suppose that is nice for the ones who were afraid or didn't want to move to another forum.

I may stick around to watch the sideshow, but I feel no loyalty to this company who a few days ago was happy to kick us all to the curb, without thinking of the consequences of their actions.

@Carmie I would have never thought that was the intent.  But that i is the name.  I don't know anyone that makes capitalization an issue on the internet.  But the name is important.  Thanks for keeping me updated!
