It's a dystopian hellscape. Starvation. One hour of electricity a week for most people. They use it to charge their phones. And crazy laws. If you are caught with Kdrama dvds you're sent to a prison camp. There are, I kid you not, only 15 allowed hairstyles for men and women, and it is enforced. You can get sent to prison if you let the leader's picture, that is required to be in your house, get dirty or dusty. And it is checked.

Coincidentally, I'm reading a novel that takes place in N. Korea. It's quite an insightful look at the people, the government, and the interaction thereof.

I'm not excusing the brutality of how the family controls North Korea,but I don't know how anyone from that family can ever be normal. From the time they're born even though they're privileged they are brainwashed & living in a bubble world. It's possible they could have had positive influences while going to school in other countries, but it doesn't seem like it ever made them want to change things for their country or their people. Or maybe they wanted to but couldn't. It's just a horrible way to live for all concerned.

It makes me wonder what that surgeon went through and how many people were in that operating room watching him if his hands were shaking badly. I wonder if he is dead now too.

Speculation at this point. Major news organizations, Washington Post, NYT, CNN, Goole News, little reported. I'm sure it would be headlnes if he did pass.

Well, to be fair, if my life, and that of my family, depended on the patient making a full and complete recovery, my hands might shake too.
