I think The Witness and The Search are two of her best books ever. The Chesapeake Bay series is good, too. I'm having a hard time getting through her latest series, The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, but I'm looking forward to The Collector. I hope it's on par or better than The Witness and The Search.

The Witness has been through all my family, and friends, and my cleaning chick. (Her own title). I had to keep looking at the author to make sure it was really a Nora Robert's book.

Thank you for the other ideas.

The first Nora Roberts book that I read was The Search and that made me a fan. The only two books that I had to force myself to finish were Chasing Fire and The Sign of Seven Trilogy.

Has anyone read Northern Lights by Nora ? It was published in hardback in 2004, and is about police, women pilots, bush pilots, and a crime taking place in Lunacy, Alaska.

It appears to be a stand alone book at this point, I can't find evidence that it is or will be part of a series? Do any of you know anything about this story or have you read it, and if so, did you like it? I just picked up a copy and would love an opinion on it as I don't have time to start it for about a month due to other commitments.

TIA

I read it and liked it. It is one of her stand-alone novels. Lifetime made a movie of it starring Leann Rimes that I didn't like.

Update: The Collector was sub-par, in my opinion.

I just picked up a copy of this this week, have only read the first chapter.

Why are the TV movies never as good as the books? The do put a lot of hers on TV, but I never like them.

I've got The Witness and The Collector on the way also. Looking forward to those.

I'm currently reading A Change of Plans which is two romance stories in one book. Then today I bought The Last Boyfriend which is book two in the Inn Boonsboro trilogy. I already read book one and enjoyed it.

WHY ARE TV movies so crummy ? Is it so hard to follow a good book ?

I bet Nora cringes at that most times.
