Non-Secure Site When I Sign ON?

Here on the forum I have a secure site (https) and at times when I open up an a item to read about it.  Otherwise, when I first sign on and search items in categories, I get notification on my computer that I am on a Non-secure site (no Https appears in the url)

This is the only shopping network I am having this issue with.

Has anyone else noticed at times the site is not secure?  Call me puzzled why if it is my computer it is only on this shopping site.  Just know as long as it states non-secure I will not be able to make purchases.  TIA to anyone that has any info on this.

            Hi, @INDIANA BONES!   This problem shows up with worrisome frequency.   It's most definitely a problem with QVC's website software, and a reminder of their sub-standard tech support, design, and management.   Unfortunately, the Q Social Team isn't tech support and they can't fix these ongoing problems, but they can (and do) pass along the reports for us.    I see a few similar reports in "Customer Care," so I hope the moderators have noticed.   The problem is that we can't be sure if our connection is secure or not.

            Not sure who's on duty on this lovely Independence Day holiday, but I'll try as many names as I can think of in hopes of alerting them:

@Anonymous, @Barbara-QVC@Melvin-QVC@Beth-QVC

@Wayne-QVC, @Anonymous, @Susan-QVC@Paulette-QVC

@Kim-QVC

What I'm actually seeing lately (using Chrome) is that I see 'Secure' after the lock, on this site.   That's something kind of new, as it used to not be secure.

Re: Non-Secure Site When I Sign ON?

@dooBdoo gracious thanks for your response to my question.  Sorry for the delay in response but had a family emergency.  I appreciate you alerting the QVC team regarding this issue.  I personally have an item I want to purchase but am going to wait until my check out site is secure.  My son came over whom is an IT geek and he said not to make any purchases until I had a secure site.  Smiley Sad

You have a great week and again much appreciation for your help.  Smiley Happy

Re: Non-Secure Site When I Sign ON?

@Wayne-QVC thank you so very much for checking on this issue.  I am not at ease making any purchases until the site is secure.  If I look at an item and at measurements, etc.  it still states the site is non-secure.  I cleared my cache (not in the least thinking it would help but thought I would try LOL) and when I sign on it is still not secure.   The GOOD part is the forum is reflecting secure.

Appreciate anything you can do Wayne to get the IT department to ensure are personal information is secure on this site.   Have a great week!

            You're welcome, @INDIANA BONES!   I'm a career "IT geek" myself! 😄   I hope your emergency wasn't serious and all is well now.    I've been on the forums only sporadically, too.   I'm not seeing this problem on my Mac, iPad or iPhone, using Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, with all software up-to-date, cookies/cache/website deleted, etc.   The Community and the shopping area connections both are secure, with the "https" prefix.    I hope the problem you and a few others were having has now cleared up.   Thank you for the good wishes, and I hope yo have a wonderful weekend!😊
