The donation is nice, but the animal will be euthanized. 

Every day an un-neutered animal is fed & allowed to roam free,

there’s a chance another 5-6 cats are produced. 

It’s sad people only see the emotional side of this situation.

If one truly loves animals, TNR of strays would be done.

No breeding. No kittens. No increase of populations.

Starvation doesn't solve the problem.

@sidsmom, are you suggesting that the strays and ferals just be left to starve while they continue to breed until nature takes it course?   Going on the premise that the cats cannot be trapped what do you suggest people do?

I'd rather have relatively healthy ferals over emaciated, sick, diseased ferals (which would still be breeding) that at some point may be able to be trapped, neutered and returned.

Yes, it is an ongoing problem as more irresponsible, heartless, souless people dump their unwanted cats and kittens that join the colony but it is better than forcing additional suffering on them.

BTW, while my position is partly emotional it is primarily being human and humane.

The key to this situation is NO BREEDING.

That should always be first & foremost.

Mother Nature will be the controlling factor.

Feeding an un-neutered animal is highly irresponsible...

and you’re part of the problem.

Heartless people who dump their animals,

and those who pontificate to others without action are a major part of the problem.

These are sentient beings, not to be thought of in your usual plant mode.

I totally agree.

Could agree more.

Endless breeding of stray animals is like...an overflowing sink.

The faucet is on full force, causing the sink to overflow onto

the floor below.  Feeding stray animals, without action, is

like grabbing a mop & mopping up the floor for a minute.

We did our part & felt good about it, but it didn’t make a difference.

To make a difference, the ‘faucet needs to be turned off.’

Like @Ms tyrion2  mentioned, the Trap-Neuter-Return is

the optimum solution.

It is worth mentioning again that the "return" part of TNR includes providing food and water for the neutered ferals.
