In our town, garbage is only delayed on the Major holidays. (Christmas, Labor, Memorial)

...Patriots Day (pres Day), Columbus etc are not included.

@SharkE Thanks for the reminder! Like some others here, now that I'm retired I often lose track of the days!

@Reilley : Our normal garbage day is Monday but with a holiday changed until Wednesday. DH just told me : don't do anymore cleaning today to fill up more garbage bags!!!

@RespectLife I guess some places differ.   I just checked the waste schedule in my city and pick up will be delayed by 1 day due to Presidents Day.  I just wish I didn't have garbage!

Monday is a Federal holiday.  All Federal government offices are closed.  That includes the U.S. Postal Service.

Thanks @SharkE, I don't keep up with holidays so I had no idea that Monday is a Federal Holiday. No reason for me to keep up. I would have been wondering why I did not receive my Delivery Confirmation Digest.

The only holidays I remember are Thanksgiving, Christmas and my Birthday which is a Holiday for me.

Keep up the good work and keep on reminding us.
