No Riverdance Audition For Me.

I was walking to the kitchen and was almost to the doorway when Petunia came barreling toward my feet. I did some fancy footwork to avoid her and lost my balance. Luckily, I was near the doorway when I pitched forward and it keep me from going down completely and hitting the floor. I did wang my head on the doorway.

In addition to my two left feet, my niece, her DH and their 4 kids (ages 3 to 15) are all in quarantine. She is an in home pediatric nurse. The home she was in was diagnosed with Covid so she and her whole crew are quarantined.

It is to get to 50 tomorrow with heavy rain. So all the piles of snow will melt along with the rain and they are calling for flooding. That happened in Jan, 1996, it was a mess and a lot of damage.

There are only 8 days left in this dumpster fire that has been 2020. Here is to a better 2021. At the very least maybe I can stay on my feet. Darn cat. It is a good thing she is cute.

Did you get hurt? I hope not! I stretched funny or slept funny and have a very sore, tight muscle in my back around the waist. Darnedest thing. Am using massage, heat, and lidocain patches. Sigh. Its always something. Your cat sounds lovely, I love cats.

Detachment isn't the absence of love but the ability to take care of yourself in the midst of someone else's choices.

Me neither! Last Tuesday I tripped over some computer wires here in the condo and badly bruised my left foot. Have been unable to put any weight on it and have been hobbling around since. I'm hoping my Christmas "present" will be the ability to walk again!

@Growing No, I'm okay. My head is a little sore where I hit the side of the doorframe.

I didn't want to hit the floor, my right knee is new, replaced a year ago. My left hip is new, replaced in the fall of 2018.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 you might want to put ice pack (sub frozen vegetable) on your head. make sure DD knows you hit your head. take care.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Yikes, I am sorry for your accident. Please do make sure your daughter knows you bumped your head, so she can keep an eye on you.

That is one of the downsides of a pet! My Grandma had a kitty for a long time. She was quite elderly, and it almost tripped her enough times that she sadly gave Pest to my sister. Sis had Pest for quite a few years....she was very pretty, and sweet.

@mizree I already did ice for awhile. I'll tell DD when she gets home tonight. I don't want to call her at work. If I feel "off" I'll call someone.

It's a good thing I have a hard head, so I've been told.

@ @alicedee My older cat was sitting in the LR behind me and Petunia loves to chase her. I think Petunia was running to chase Tess upstairs and I got in the way. At least I didn't face plant on the floor.

I am SO glad you didn't have a bad injury! Accidents happen so fast! I hope you and DD and Tess & Petunia have a peaceful and fun Christmas. ❤️🎄
