I heard today thst Nine West was the creation of Vince Camuto.  Whether or not he still has an interest in the company, I don't know.  The story was about him selling his huge, multi million dollar mansion.

Nine West was sold to Jones Group in 1999.  Nine West Holdings is now owned by another conglomorate, Sycamore Partners.

Re: Nine west filing for bankruptcy

I have always loved the look of Nine West Shoes, but never owned a pair.

I have tried them on numerous times and they hurt so bad that I couldn't even walk three feet while wearing them.  I know they are a good seller, they are just not made for me.

I hope they recover and don’t go out of business.  We are losing many good companies and brands.

I bought their shoes when they had a store in our Mall years ago...

Wasn't Bruce Makowsky involved with Nine West at one time?

They bought out so many shoe companies, Joyce, Easy Spirit, etc, and ruined the brands,  I could care less if they go out of business.  I have never been able to wear their shoes.

I doubt Vince Camuto has interest in his "worldly" mansion. He passed away in 2015.

I was thinking the same thing.  Thanks for the laugh.
