Listening to the report of this on GMA this morning, I thought it was ironic that he was perfectly willing to put his love-life out there to sell books and movies, but now wants PRIVACY during this difficult time..........the story we all get from these celebrity types....they're all so phony.

Awful book (IMO, of course).

Love his books, love his movies, especially The Notebook! Sorry to see they are splitting up. To me its sad when anyone splits up their marriage. His books and movies are fiction. Maybe he adds in from life experiences but they aren't stories of his whole life. If you ever read them or saw the movies that would be obvious. (His love advice that was written yes, his other books/movies no).

Will be interesting to see how his story lines in future books will be affected by this heartache in his own like. Divorce can affect your outlook for years even if you are the one who wants out of the marriage.

I do love his work.
