we have had a few nights in the 40s with some frost also.....that is why i dont want the heat again! autumn is my favorite season.

I want to hold on to the warm weather as long as possible - my husband just told me he is going to be bringing in the patio furniture. bummer

The squirrels are burying nuts EVERYWHERE as well as being in a frenzy to gather and then bury. I think they know the future about the weather (on the East Coast) and it won't be pretty (The Farmers Almanac says it's going to be a bad one).

According to what I've read, the Farmers Almanac is not consistently accurate in the weather predictions they make . . . I sure hope that will be the situation this year . . .

@alliswell True. My daddy (a farm boy) swore by it. That said, in this case, forecasters are saying we are in for a tough winter (East Coast) due to all their scientific charts, graphs and info.

We had a wonderful mild winter 2015/16, it just lasted until April....

Love the weather, in short sleeves w/o a jacket and went to Home Depot, bought 2 bags of pine bark nuggets, put one bag over thinning areas of garden and will keep the 2nd bag for emergencies.

I just read on my news feed that Ski Mountain in Oregon recorded over three inches of snow. WOW!
