Medicare is different for each individual and then different depending what state you live in. Go find a Medicare health insurance expert to help you. We got to keep DH's health insurance from his job, so it became our secondary or supplemental insurance when we went on Medicare and we didn't have to pick up part D since his regular health insurance already has perscription drugs covered. I've always had extra dental insurance since we both have problem teeth. The Medicare deductible is paid by our secondary health insurance and we also get a rebate from our secondary health insurance after we pay 6 months of that premium since we signed up for Medicare. What kind of supplement you get totally depends on your health care needs, so go see a health insurance professional!
