I just double checked on my account to make sure.
Sounds like they have inconsistent return policies. That's not good.
You know I never really checked their return policy....maybe because I have never had to return anything yet from Amazon. I just noted that if I had returned a pair of shoes I just ordered, there would have been a re-stocking fee.
In addition if they paid anything to ship them to me, I would be responsible for it.
I guess all companies are making the customer absorb more of the shipping fees.
Amazon has many different vendors so unless it's an Amazon direct shipment, their return policy can be different. However, whenever I've had a problem with a defective product Amazon always refunds original and return shipping even if the outside vendor refuses to do so.
Thank you.....that's good to know.

I just checked my returned order and it was "fulfilled by Amazon" but seller was a different vendor.
So, looks like the Amazon return policies can differ a lot depending on the items purchased.

I once purchased from Amazon that was fulfilled from a different vendor and it came damaged. I let Amazon know and the vendor contacted me and offered to send me another and not have me send the other back.
Their vendors care very much about positive feedback and most of them go out of their way to take care of the problems. At least for me they did.

They could build the shipping cost into the price and offer free shipping like other places. b but....Free is NEVER truly free.

Qvc also has jacked up their prices to compensate. For example, a tube of Bobbi Brown lipstick was $5.97 at $23. Then, price went up to $25 last year. Now, it is $26 with $3 shipping. Many other items went up here and there for $1. Another example, a long sleeve tee I used to buy was $28 and then $29.50 and now $32.

I agree and I think with these new rates that it will be easy to just built one or two extra dollars into the item price to also cover shipping.

Sorry didn't see your post and thanks for giving real examples.

They aren't fooling anyone.......
If they thought they were getting lots of complaints before.....just wait. They will probably lose some valuable customers because of this change. I know I have really cut way back this year. And will continue to do so. Have only ordered 2 things this year. Thank goodness I got things I really liked when they were available.

I don't think this is a fair representation at all.
How do you explain the cost of just about everything has gone up... cotton, product manufacturing, product ingredients, bread, milk, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc.??
A loaf a bread is almost $5.
