New puppy advice please

We are getting a new puppy soon. Actually our puppy is getting a playmate. Our current dog Dixie is 11 months old and the single pet of the house. We will be getting her a friend, same breed in a few weeks.

Any advice on a pleasant, stress-free intro?

Dixie loves to play with other dogs, BUT is very territorial of the house/yard. {#emotions_dlg.blink}
