He was on doing the SG show this a.m. I wanted to learn about him and enjoyed his presentation. I don't know him yet.

Maybe he's on a trial period, but he wasn't on the "meet the hosts" page.

Is that how it works?

I believe new hosts go through a probation period before becoming a full-fledged host. When they become a "host", they get their picture on the page.

I too believe they go through like a 3 month or maybe 6 month probationary period. Then if they make probation, it is generally announced during one of their shows and they are given flowers. At that point, their picture and bio is added to the host page.

If you're talking about Albert, you can follow him on Facebook. His posts are funny and he frequently posts photos of his two poodles. He seems like a really nice guy.

QVC still cans hosts even if they pass the probationary phase and get their picture posted..... POOF and they are gone with no explanation.

Alberti is one of the best 'new hosts', IMO. Very personable, very thorough, a bit of humor, too!

Whoa! I think he's super! He chats about the product description from the customer's point of view! Levine, Crowell, & Mason would be proud of him!

Myself, i've had enough of high-pitched hosts stuttering along, adding the hysterical girley giggling and Elaine Bennis dancing from supposed gem experts (hosts, not vendors), and making the show more about them than the product. There, i've said it.

Even though i'm generally not shopping for fashion on the Q, i tune in to Alberti's shows because i enjoy watching him. I wish him all the best!

I think he will become one of the better hosts. I too agree that Levine, Mason and Crowelll would be pleased with his presentations.
