Re: New from Driscoll's Rose strawberries

Sounds interesting @cherry  but they lost me with "bred for their unique color and aromatic flavor".

When I got to "aromatic flavor" I had flashbacks of  walking through a perfume or hairspray cloud and getting the taste in my mouth of how they smelled.

I am sort of wondering if they are hinting about a bouquet of a rose wine, and comparing them to that  @Marp

I don't know what they are trying to indicate but for me it did not evoke tasty thoughts.

Reminds me of the names given to candles, sachets and such.  Ocean Breeze or Ocean Waves or Ocean something comes to mind.  To me that means it smells like salt, seaweed and dead fish.  Not inviting at all.

If I can track any down this summer, I will let you know how they taste @Marp . Strawberries are diabetic friendly ,and I love them

I have family in the produce business. They said the berries have a very limited growing period and everyone wants them so Driscoll is only selling to their top customers.

They are called rosé  strawberries.

I don't think they have anything to do with roses.
