I have been an avid Ebay shopper for over 20 years, I love putting things in my Watch List and quite often a better offer is made to me. And then if offered I make an even lower counter offer

OMG I never even thought to make a counter!! I will have to try that one.  Thanks @Shelbelle

Not all offers will contain a counter offer, but if it does, I am right on it.

I forget EVERYthing.  I jump thru all sorts of hoops to make sure I remember them.  Neurontin is a necessary evil drug if you suffer with nerve pain, but it's crucial for enjoying life.

I'm finding Ebay to be far less trustworthy lately.

Interesting observation, and it makes sense to me.

Personally, I sell more on Ebay than I buy, but rarely a month goes by that I haven't bought something.

Sometime in the past year I stopped putting things I was seriously considering on my Watchlist, and just put them right in my Cart.  (Then I look to see of there are any better prices for what I'm interested in.)

The reason I do that is because I can forget about something on my Watchlist.  However, when I sign on, I see how many things in my cart and they're less likely to be forgotten.

@Tinkrbl44 If you're forgetting what is in your Watchlist, maybe you don't need it.

When you get ready to actually buy, do you not have to buy everything sitting in your cart or have to remove it from the cart?  That sounds like a PIA to me.  I don't think I've ever forgotten having something in my Ebay Watchlist.  Now, on Amazon I have lots of stuff there, sometimes because it's in the running of things I'm comparing.  I'd really hate to have to deal with all that stuff sitting in my cart when I get ready to buy something..

@Icegoddess

Wow, you sound like a speed-shopping consumer!   LOL  Woman LOL

I do more selling on Ebay than buying, so the shopping cart is just a better visual cue for me.

Adding or removing in the cart is one click, so I can handle the activity.  Add, Delete or Save For Later.

Unless an item is very difficult to find I usually want to comparison shop, at least a little, while it sits in the cart.  There are lots of reasons people do that.

Right now my Watchlist has two books I'll buy if my library can't get them for me.  Plus, an ad I'd like to copy for a Ripka ring I'd like to sell on Ebay.  (Not copy exactly, but improvise what I want to say, based on the information they provided.  A lot of sellers do that.)

Most of us have our own little systems.  It's part of the thrill of the hunt, isn't it?  Woman Happy

@Tinkrbl44 , a speed shopper I'm not, LOL.  I mentioned that in another response above.

I've been using Ebay for over a dozen years now. As of about 2 weeks ago I notice that there are now pop-ups that actually show how many folks have a particular item in their cart!

It used to be just how many would have the same item in their watchlist, but NOT in their cart!

I ordered 3 items from Ebay about 7-10 days ago...

1 - had 9 folks having that item in their cart

1 - had 6

1 - had 2

Lots of folks fence sitting, so I relieved them all from having to make a decision...LOL

You're a good woman. lol

Me too, have had some bad experiences lately with out-of-date items.
