My husband just replaced the bay window in our dining room. The previous one had painted trim....but a stained sill. (I think the only reason I did it that way originally....was that was how my mother's was done!). Now I'm wondering if I should just paint the whole thing....rather than staining the sill. Any opinions? What do most people do???? I know our stair treads are stained, but the risers are painted and I like the way that looks.

I know this is not earth shattering....lol....just wondering what most people prefer. Thanks!
