New Year's Resolutions...have you been planning?

I know many don't even bother, but I do have a few every year. This year mine are:

1) Continue to lose weight - reach goal by end of 2020...I dream of a size 8...what I used to wear a couple of decades ago, but realistically a size 10! I'm in a 12 now.  Smiley Very Happy

2) I already have been watching QVC less and less, but want to see if I can get it down to not at all. That doesn't mean I still don't love QVC. I will still order online when needed like continuing our A-D meats/seafoods. I'm pretty much down to just watching VPH, Denim & Co, an occassional Kim Gravel show, St. Patty's Day and the Spring gardening shows.

3) Read more books and cut my time online in half!

4) I'm on the fence with trying a fitbit in January. I really want to get closer to my weight goal 1st, so may start in June or close thereafter.

@Susan Louise :  Buy the Fitbit now and use it religiously.  My cousin has been doing this for three years and has lost a lot of weight.  The secret is consistent use.

No way!  I haven't had new year's resolutions in years.  None ever lasted longer than mid January!

@patbz  I am seriously considering using the fitbit, but will wait til I'm closer to my goal. I'm still losing weight without exercising now...just doing normal day to day chores.

I've lost over 60 lbs since Sept 2018 by just changing to a low carb/keto lifestyle with my DH. Smiley Happy

I’ve never done one before but I need to get some weight off.  In a year and a half I went from a size 6 to an 8.  I feel awful and I’m going to start eating healthier.

Those are great goals you have for yourself! When I was younger, I made resolutions. It was fun, and something I looked forward to as I welcomed in the new year. They never worked for me, and I would become frustrated with myself. Now, I strive throughout the year, to be the best version of myself I can possibly be. Eating healthy, daily exercise, treating others as I want to be treated, and keeping a positive attitude about life is as resolute as I care to be. It sounds a bit cliche, but it works-at least for me.

@qvcfreak A 6 yo 8.......I understand that bothers you but it's hard for some of us to understand.  I went from chubby (kid section) to a 10 + 12.    Completely past 6 and 8  .............

Re: New Year's Resolutions...have you been planning?

Hi, @Susan Louise !  I don't subscribe to New Year's Resolutions as I believe life is a journey and improvement is a continuous process.  (Also, LOL, I don't think they work with my psyche, at least.). I'm a WW member and have been doing so well since they brought back the Green plan, the one I originally lost weight on, that I'm beyond pleased.  Freestyle just did NOT work for me; I need the accountability of tracking everything.  But I digress...I think small goals are far more achievable than the grandiose resolution.  I'm continuing on my weight maintenance journey. (8 years at goal in February) but still enjoying the holidays, as far as my health is concerned.  Visiting relatives this Christmas, in touch with friends and want to continue the love I get through my community local and distant.
