@qvcfreak  I was a size 8 most of my life and I was 5'8"...now shrunk down to 5'71/2"...LOL

I'll still be happy/content if I get into a size 10 again though...a size 8 would be the cherry on top. Time will tell Smiley Happy

@Susan Louise, I was a size 4 forever then in my 40’s jumped to size 6 and at 56 jumped to size 8.  I don’t feel comfortable. Last February Dr told me to lose 20 lbs which I haven’t done, probably gained another 5.

@qvcfreak .....I, too, gained weight as I got older. I am now 68. I started walking 2+ miles a day (depending on weather) a year ago. I lost ten pounds and have kept it off. Are you able and have the time to walk?

I promise to remind myself every day that I am strong, courageous, and resilient.

@qvcfreak  Now is the time to do it...I wish you success on your goal. I gained a lot of weight due to so many major health issues/surgeries back to back.

Oh geez.  I'm the bad girl then.

I have a major challenge for the month of January that I'm prepping for now.  It could be considered a New Year's Resolution, but I'm always working on body, mind, and spirit; just more intensely at certain times.

My favorite (Heart) person in the whole wide world used to say that.  She was born in 1898.

I don't set myself up for disappointments.  I figure you can make the decision to change your lifestyle anyday of the year.  I just want to make it alive to January 1st.

@rms1954  Well yes...

One can always look at the practical side so easily. Like many folks who make resolutions, I look at it as a fresh new start in a new year. Many wind up being failures, however there are still others that perservere and do succeed.

My two biggest lifestyle changes were not started on January 1st of any year. I quit smoking the day I was diagnosed with lung cancer in November of 2004. I started the new lifestyle change with DH in September of 2018.

I would rather stay on the positive side of it all on starting anew in a new year. Smiley Happy

Re: New Year's Resolutions...have you been planning?

I see New Year's resolutions as a huge joke.  I have never known anyone to really keep even one.  Many who go all out with them are just talk.  We all should strive to be the best we can be every day.
