They can be left in up to 12 hours, so removing it at home

will be the most likely scenario.  But if in a public restroom,

it can be wiped out with tissue & re-inserted.

Sounds fantastic!

No how no way could I leave them in for 12 hours.  I always needed a back-up pad because they leaked after around five or six hours.

Tissue in a third world country?  When I travel, I always had some in my purse.  many public restrooms outside of the US do not have tissue or there is a separate charge for it.

The idea has been around for a long time, I can't image that Tampax will bring it into the main stream.

$40 is also very expensive. The Tampax company is still gouging women with the high cost of feminine hygiene products.

I definetly agree that women everywhere should be afforded feminine protection, no matter where they live or their financial ability.  This is a very important issue.

Do you have to take them out to go pee?

@missy1

Nope.

It’s inserted  & covers the cervix.

Saw this trending on Twitter.

Wow.

This IS a big deal!

I remember in the early 70’s, wearing the old-fashioned belt/pad

were the only choices. Then the self-adhesive pad & tampon.

No drastic improvements since then...until now...with a company

who is the Gold Standard of feminine hygiene.

It’s the next generation coming of age!

@sidsmom  Tampons were around in the early 70's.  Tampax  and Playtex were the top brands.  In fact, tampons were used in ancient civilzations.

Your timeline is off.

Also these cups are not new.  The Tassaway in the 1960's is the most known, but these cups actually date back to the early decades in the last century.

This newer version may be an improvement but not new.

Repeat....and I’ll say it louder for those in the cheap seats:

Yes, I realize they have been around for awhile...I mentioned DIVA Cup

in my original post.

But they have been very quiet brands...until NOW.

My excitement is having a MAINSTREAM brand like Tampax

embrace this...that’s newsworthy.

Maybe I have a better business sense or more empathy for

the idea behind the product, but either you get it or you don’t.

I’m sadden more are not getting it.

This is a biological function all females around the World have...

who all deserve the same standard of feminine care.

This is the beginning step..

Could you be a little more condescending? I'm not real good with subtlety.

Yes, the ol cheap seat analogy to a poster's intelligence.  New one for the books I'm pretty sure.

The place you urinate from is not the same place you menstruate from. They are close, but they are 2 different organs.

Alright, TMI here I go.

I happen to have been born with a cervical abnormality.

I do not speak for all but there may be parameters around the norm  at play, long-term.  I will be interested to follow this.  It is certainly deserving of attention and just one more milestone in the long road women have faced.

@DiAnne   Yes, a more holistic approach to “protection”. It’s been 20 yrs. since I had to even think about it....🤪. I even skip that aisle in drugstore....although may be back there eventually checking out The Depends “things”. Lol
