This! Or if you can't find the exact model, you will likely find one that is similar. Learning how to use the remote is also often shown on Youtube videos. And Google is your friend, too!

When I got mine, Best Buy delivered it and set it up for me. All this tech stuff can be very frustrating if you are of a certain age.
Why did you not let the company or store set it up?
I did the same, thru Best Buy, and it was well worth it.
I know what I'm capable of and what I'm not.

We got a small Amz Fire TV Insignia in Oct, took about 4 calls to Comcast before it was working properly, it was exhausting.

I'm there with you. I was doing well to connect all the cords properly to my old school TV, no way I want to try to set up a new model, though I am planning to get one. I'll let somebody else do it rather than risk a nervous breakdown...

I set up my new Samsung and thought it was super easy. I just plugged it in and it walked me through everything. It was all set up in 10 minutes. I, however, do not have cable and didn't have to worry about plugging that in. I just had to go into my YT Tv and put my email in to access my account along with my Netflix and Prime.

I turned off the wifi on my TV. I don't need it. I use my streaming box to view all of my programs and the box is connected to wifi so I can just go through that if I need to access apps. Turning off the TV's wifi means the TV won't 'see' me nor will it try to send me notifications of any sort.
What's there to set up on a new smart TV? I don't think it's that complicated. Mine guided me through the process which didn't amount to much at all. Most of the settings were preset and some I changed for my personal preference such as picture brightness/contrast. But nothing else.

I understand your frustration. I want to know why company's produce Lousy set up instructions? Is it a game with them? Needless to say, I often leave negative reviews on the company's social media pages about the lack of set up instructions.

Between my husband and son in law, they didn't have too much trouble. I am not tech savy at all and I know I would have been frustrated.
