New Show Host Training

I can't understand why a new show host has to sit behind a laptop and respond to posts on Facebook. Sitting on a couch or in the control room doesn't constitute "training" to me. I truly think it's silly to see anyone sitting on the couch, face glued to the monitor and typing responses....oh, once in awhile they'll update us with what everyone is saying..who cares?

A new show host is just that...presenting merchandise, talking to the call in viewers.

Just seems HR doesn't know what to do with them and they give them a head burying job.
