@homedecor1 people aren't banned from traveling to NJ- just certain states (not sure where you are) have to quarantine..

@Mz iMac at the end of today's updtae he said he wasn't sure of it was stage 2 or 3 - and he would revisit the chart.
@Ibby114 Great timing! I was just checking the phase chart as I was curious why he thought NJ is still in phase II? His medical expert (her name excapes me) was silent on the matter.

@homedecor1 Off hand, the ONLY airlines that are Covid safe to travel that I know of is Delta. It's the only airline our local news mention. They have strict Covid protocols besides "mask wearing." All info listed on their website.
The local news constently reminds us if flying (excluding Delta), it is strongly recommended to wear the following:
mask
face shield
goggles
gloves 2-3 pairs depending on length of flight
hand sanatizer(s)
Personally, I will NOT be flying until a vaccine is available. Trains (Amtrak, A.C. train, Speed Line) are safer in my neck of the woods.

The restaurants in Georgia have been open for at least 2 months. I have not dined in a restaurant since the first of March. I doubt that I'll go anytime soon. Just because the restaurants open it does not mean that Covid 19 is over. Wait until people start flocking to restaurants and bars and then see what happens to the rate of infection.

@CelticCrafter .. I agree. Murphy pulled the plug on in-door dining in New Jersey with only a few days to go before the restaurants were to re-open back in late June or early July. It was definitely not fair to everyone in the restaurant business. Many had already ordered food in anticipation of re-opening. I hope he doesn't flip flop again.

I'm in Tennessee, and in our county restaurants have been open for quite a while now. I haven't felt comfortable going to a restaurant so haven't. I do get take-out though.

@Boehm Collector at that time (late June/early July) the #'s were spiking all over the country- with all the traveling to/from NJ it would have been asking for trouble to re open indoor dining. Covid 'runs the show', our Gov is just the messenger.

I have family in Georgia. None have done indoor dining *yet.*

It just doesn't sound like it worked be enjoyable eating out under these circumstances to me, but I'm pretty content with take out and i enjoy cooking so it hasn't been a huge sacrifice to me.
I'm looking forward to having a pint outside at a pub though.
