Just curious...then you wash your comforter or blanket once a week @I am still oxox ? My washing machine won't wash a queen comforter. It just won't fit, so the top sheet keeps it fresh.🙂
@Trinity11 You can not be serious I do not sweat when I sleep
I have no words.😳
@Trinity11 I do
I have to shake my head when people claim they don't sweat at night. No one is as fresh in the morning (bodily) as they are when they go to bed, even if they just bathed. You may not be dripping wet with sweat, but if your body gets hot, or even warm, it is perspiring. You may not notice the odor, but believe me, others do.

I'm a traditionalist, I have a high canape bed, use China that can't go in a dishwasher...so the thought of not using a top sheet seems just wrong to me.

We do however sleep under separate covers during the Summer and one fleece blanket during the Winter

growing up, i never used a top sheet.
in college, i never used a top sheet.
once i was married, i used a top sheet, mainly because it just made my bed look more complete. lol
divorced and still use a top sheet. i get hot and sweaty pretty easily, especially during the summer. i do like to be covered, so a top sheet accomplishes that. they HAVE to be microfiber.
all bed linens get washed in HOT water using the SANITIZE feature on my washing machine.
i also do NOT tuck my top sheet in between the mattress and boxspring. i absolutely HATE that!
my kids are twentysomethings and one doesnt and never used a top sheet, the others do use top sheets.

My children use the top sheet, but ALL my grands do not use a top sheet. Believe me, I dread washing all those comforters and spreads after they all visit. I'm facing that right now, just after the Easter visit. I don't think those blankets were made to wash so often.
My children tell me the grands feel as though they get all tangled up in the top sheets. Even when I try to sneak them on to the beds, I find them neatly folded next to the beds.
I keep trying to imagine how others sleep to get tangled in sheets! I fall asleep and wake up pretty much in the same position and sheets stay put!😁

Many people toss and turn when they sleep. I am one of those people. I wake up and the sheets and blankets are all over the place.

My daughter said after she first got married, that her new husband was this way. She said mom, it looked like he was fighting someone for the pillows. They were on the floor with the blankets 😂

But, my question is, how are they getting tangled up in the top sheet when it is there, but not getting tangled up in the bedding when a top sheet is not there?

I definitely need a top sheet, as I don't use blankets on my bed, just a sheet set and comforter...
I only sleep with the top sheet-not even under the comforter-hubby sleeps under the comforter though as he is always cold.....
My daughters use the top sheet too...I wash my bedding (sheets) every week.
