We can always talk about what you put on first the bra or the panties.
Some of us don't wear panties @lgfan .
So your answer would be that you put on the bra first. ![]()

Didn't grow up using a top sheet, had quilt covers instead that could be washed weekly. When I got married and moved out of my parents home, I started using top sheets, and have been doing so since. The only time I don't use them is on the guest beds when my grandkids come to visit. They hate top sheets. I can understand why. I use them, but am always struggling and getting tangled up in them when I toss and turn at night. But they do help cut down on the laundering of quilts and comforters, so I continue to use them on my bed.

full disclosure: i did not read all the responses.
i grew up with a top sheet & could never imagine not having one. i have a 100% wool blanket and although i love it, would not want to have that on my skin.
i would have to wash whatever is touching my skin, so my wool blanket would have to go to cleaners every week.. or whatever is touching my skin. that is not happening and it never would b/c i HAVE to have my top sheet. like another poster said, "its vital"!!!

Just curious...then you wash your comforter or blanket once a week @I am still oxox ? My washing machine won't wash a queen comforter. It just won't fit, so the top sheet keeps it fresh.🙂
@Trinity11 You can not be serious I do not sweat when I sleep
I have no words.😳
I just started reading this thread and I can't imagine never sweating while sleeping. I must use a top sheet.
It's a big problem with a lot of people who have foam mattresses. I need to be in a cold bedroom and even if I wake up and the temp in the bdroom is in the low 60s, I can still be hot & sweating in the middle of the night!
I'm not saying I think you have a medical problem, but have you ever mentioned this to your doctor?
Hot and sweating in a cold room in the middle of the night seems ... unusual.

OMG ....
Archie and Meathead had that same conversation on All In The Family! It was hysterical!

I make sure all my bedding is machine washable.
I wash sheets, pillowcases and blankets weekly (we use light blankets year round).
I may lay on my top sheet, and under a blanket if I'm taking a quick cat nap on the bed. But always use a top sheet when bedding down for the night.
No top sheet skeeves me out.
We had overnight guests that literally kicked the topsheet to the foot of the bed and just used the blanket. I didn't realize it was on purpose until they did it repeatedly. Not the reason why, but they are no longer guests.
No one else does it and I would probably say something about it, if someone did. It's just family now.

@ciao_bella wrote:Okay... maybe it's me because I'm older, but I think not! I've read and also heard some sales people say that younger generations are not using top sheets when they make their beds. My question would be, why not? I can think of more cons than pros on not using one.
What is your thought on this?
Well, 130 replies later, it's been interesting ...
What I don't believe I saw anyone say was whether what they wore to bed made a difference.
After all, some people wear nightgowns or PJs ... and some sleep in nothing at all.
Do you think it matters? ![]()
