The New England Patriots owner, 81, and his doctor bride, 47, wed in front of over 200 guests during a surprise wedding ceremony on Friday night at the Hall des Lumières in New York City.

According to Page Six, Kraft invited a slew of star-studded guests to a "Kickoff and a Touchdown" party, though he did not reveal he and Blumberg would be tying the knot during the event.

A source who attended the event told PEOPLE most guests were completely taken by surprise. "Most of the people didn't know it was a wedding celebration. We thought it was a party and then when we went upstairs — and a screen opened and Robert and Dana came out.

She was in a wedding dress, and Elton John announced them as 'husband and wife.' Then Meek Mill wrote a song for them — which he sang with Ed Sheeran as backup," the source detailed.

The source also noted there was an amazing spread, including caviar, Rubens, pigs in a blanket and knishes.

Citing sources, Page Six said that the couple shared a 10-minute video with guests, before NFL commentator Al Michaels introduced them to the crowd as husband and wife. It is unclear, however, when exactly Kraft and Blumberg officially said "I do" to one another.

Robert Kraft and Dana Blumberg reportedly began dating in 2019, before getting engaged in March 2022.

You can bet there is an iron clad pre nup in place and his kids are well provided for.  I would hope their happy he has a full time doctor  in attendance 24/7 and he is happy.

Dana Blumberg, 48, a leading New York City ophthalmologist, had been dating Kraft for three years before he popped the question with a '10-carat diamond.' 

Kraft knew Blumberg as a friend for several years before they started dating. The pair posed for photos together at a 2017 event for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, however they are not thought to have begun dating until 2019. 

Blumberg has stayed noticeably private throughout their relationship - doing her best to keep a low profile by not using any social media. 

She is a specialist in glaucoma and is based at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia. 

Blumberg graduated from Brown University for her BA and then achieved her medical degree in May 2000 from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri, according to the Department of Health.

She went on to complete her residency in 2004 at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, before heading to Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Maryland for her fellowship.

Records also show that she practiced medicine in North Carolina from 2007 to 2011, before she moved to New York.
