A certain senator from Arizona is introducing legislation that would revolutionize the cable television industry. It would basically allow consumers to pick and choose which cable channels they want to pay for and only order those channels.
Critics say it would make programming more expensive because the hit shows currently pay the way for some of the less lucrative, but still worthwhile, programs.
Advocates say they don't need to be paying to subsidize programming they don't watch and cable bills have risen so high that that they are bordering on unaffordable.
Does anyone have any opinions or thoughts on this?
I will be in and out all day but I would love to read any responses anyone feels like leaving. Forgive me if I don't personally respond to each post. I was just hoping to start a conversation.
