I live in CA and wearing a mask has always been a recommendation. In my county, it has been a requirement since March 16. I don't think I have seen anyone not wearing a mask except when exercising outside. I am not sure how it will be enforced, but we must now wear one when out in public and I think it is a good thing.

@Wsmom, the most recent studies show that wearing a face cover can make a very big difference. I'm not sure what info these quite vigilant anti-maskers have.
They come across in a manner that doesn't bring science or knoweldge to mind.
@Wsmom I must agree with @suzyQ3 @as I’ve seen very recent info (today!) on the news demonstrating what a difference masks can make. I suspect the anti-maskers just believe the virus will magically fade away.

@willdob3, Again, not disagreeing. If you look at the post I made just prior to your post, you will see what I was saying. Bottom line, unfortunately I don't think him saying that is going to make a difference to those who don't want to wear them. You don't have to wear them if you have a medical condition and a list of other reasons, and they have posted where to get your card to show stores, etc., that you can't wear one. In the area I live in it is very hit and miss, maybe about 50% of the people wear them. So I mean I agree, if you have a medical condition that you can't wear one, absolutely you shouldn't have to. But it will become like the service dogs. Everybody has a service dog certificate from the internet. So in that sense I am frustrated.
ETA: Sorry...I don't know what I do to change my font. I don't mean to add more emphasis or anyything.

But what does this statement look like in action and how is QVC going to change as a result of this?

People around my parts wear masks and it makes everyone feel safer. And be safer as our numbers drop.
Mask Up MI works!

I am not understanding why all governors are not doing this. You are absolutely right it's courteous to others.

Not wearing a mask here where I live, in Santa Clara County is kinda like wearing a fur coat to a PETA meeting It is frowned on not to wear one. We all want things to open up, people to get well and get on with our lives . California is the 5th largest economy in the world...we need to get going BUT SAFELY. Masks, social distancing, washing up, sanitizing and temp checks help. Why be wreckless..? Governor Newsom has certainly rose to the occasion
@shoekitty California is the 5th largest economy in the WORLD? Not trying to start an argument but I don’t know where that is coming from. Just wondering..... I tried to google it, but couldn’t find any of the articles to mention this. 🙂
I've heard this statement on CNN a few times since last week. From CBS News "California's economy has surpassed that of the United Kingdom to become the world's fifth largest, according to new federal data made public Friday."
