@Cats3000 - I'm born and raised in the U.S. and am 64 years old and never knew that.  Seriously, I've used that term many times in my life and had NO idea that it had any other meaning other than I'm never again going into a store, or perming my hair, etc.

 

I can't speak for her certainly, but I'm pretty sure @Dinaki  and lots of others of us had no idea either.  I don't think there is any reason for her to be ashamed.  Some of us truly didn't know.


Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Dinaki I see nothing wrong with your post.  I am another who didn't know it could only be used in context of the Holocaust, in some people's opinion.

I've used those words throughout my life, and never meant anything except exactly what I was saying.  I say "Me too" when I agree with someone.  

People shouldn't look for offenses where none were intended.
