Re: Netflix Making Changes

The ads may come fast and furious, like Roku.  It is not a fun experience.  It better be a huge discount.

That's interesting. I have Comcast and I always wondered why my Netflix is still only $8.99 when I know the price has increased a couple times. If it's offered for free with certain packages, maybe I am getting some discount with the package I have?  Of course I've never questioned it because $8.99 is fine with me lol

We have Comcast and get Peacock for free but pay extra for Netflix.

Netflix is losing subscribers because they're too expensive! They $15.00 a month, on top of my already skyrocket high cable bill. Hulu is $5.99, I think. Amazon Prime is free as are numerous other streaming apps. They don't even offer a free 30 day trial anymore. They're triple the price of all the other streaming networks along the same line.

Likewise. Peacock is free, but Netflix is too pricey. Pass.

We had Netflix for about a year, 18 months or so.   I found that we did not watch it very often so I got rid of it.  Have not missed it at all.  We get Peacock free with our Xfinity package and there are a couple of other free ones like Freevee and Tubi.

This past month, June, Netflix has had so many more great offerings than before. They have stepped up their game to compete. I've been watching a lot. Before this, I couldn't find many things I wanted to see. If you haven't been on for awhile, check and see the new shows. There was a great Harlan Coben's  STAY CLOSE, a limited series. Sometimes companies use his books and turn out awful gunk, but this series was good. I also enjoyed The Unexplained with William Shatner. Loved Ozark. Loved Midnight Mass. Liked Inventing Anna. Liked The Staircase. Liked the final season of Stranger Things.

I have not seen Netflix's new series, "The Girl in the Picture," but I read numerous stories about 5his true story as well as a book. The story is highly compelling.

They may have stepped up their game, but we pay $250.00 for our "bundle" of Internet and cable, so an extra $15.00 for Netflix is too much. In our house, we had to set a limit.
