Re: Neil Diamond is retiring immediately

@meallen616

Thank You for posting this picture of Neil Diamond. Man he is one handsome guy. It's hard to believe he's 77. I think I had a crush on him from the first time I heard him sing. I didn't know then what he looked like until I bought his first album. My favorite song is "September Morn"

I am so sad to hear and read about Neil Diamond. I saw him in concert once and I have loved him and his music since I was a teenager. I wish him and his family the very best.

Happy 77th birthday!

He said he would no longer be performing, but would be writing and producing music. I saw him in concert way back in the 80's. He put on a fabulous one man show.

Re: Neil Diamond is retiring immediately

Neil Diamond and I are the same age - and both from Brooklyn. I remember him from the beginning. Great song writer, singer and entertainer. Many years ago, I'd see him occasionally on a tv talkshow. His song Sweet Caroline was written for Caroline Kennedy. I love that song and America!!!!!!! He recorded "You Don't Bring me Flowers" with Barbra Streisand -- great!!!!!

So sad to hear he's struggling with Parkinson's.

My generation of entertainers is dwindling -- and could never be duplicated.

Thank you for the replies and thank you for the info that he will still be writing and recording.

An original from the start with 50+ years of staying power as a performer and hopefully more as a songwriter and recording artist. Privileged to see him in concert throughout the decades. A forever fan of this great musical artist and entertainer.
